The National Sport Judo Federation for Persons with Disabilities was founded by the following non-governmental organizations: Sport Club „KRETSUL-Judo”, Judo Sport Club „VITEAZUL”, Judo Club „NIPPON”, having as purpose:
- - The promotion of sport for persons with disabilities without any discrimination in the Republic of Moldova;
- - Encouraging the young people with disabilities to practice a sport, as well as popularizing judo as a challenge, motivation and way of social integration;
- - Establishment and development of the collaboration relationships with national and international non-governmental organizations in the field;
- - Training of the judo athletes, blind and visually impaired athletes, deaf athletes, athletes with other forms of disability.
On January 16, 2017, the National Sport Judo Federation for Persons with Disabilities was registered at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova.
On February 16, 2017, in collaboration with the State University of Physical Education and Sport, was organized the National Seminar „Judo for persons with visual disabilities: Current and Perspective”.
